Dosis recomendada:

Una pastilla de cefavet 600mg es para 20kg de peso vivo del animal (30mg/kg), cada 12 horas de 5 a 10 días según evaluación y criterio del veterinario tratante.

Efectos secundarios:

  • Los efectos secundarios por hipersensibilidad a las cefalosporinas o penicilinas, en pacientes con insuficiencia renal se administra cada 24 horas.
  • No administrar acompañado de antiácidos orales, por ejemplo.

Información general:

Este producto es usado en el tratamiento de enfermedades producidas por cocos Gram positivos y algunos Gram negativos; osteomielitis, neumonía estafilocócica, empiema, absceso pulmonar, septicemia y forunculosis. También está indicado para tratar otitis media, infección puerperal y septicemia, infecciones urinarias, respiratorias (bronquiectasias, neumonías y bronconeumonías), afecciones quirúrgicas (cavitarias, abscesos, heridas graves infectadas), aborto séptico, infecciones en la piel y tejidos blandos, así como enfermedades de los huesos y articulaciones. Los agentes etiológicos susceptibles son: Staphylococcus spp. (Incluyendo cepas penicilino resistentes), Estreptococos spp., Corynebacterium spp., Pasteurella spp. Escherichia coli, Proteus spp., Microccoccus spp., Moraxella spp., Actinobacillus ligneresii, Actinomyces bovis, Haemophilus spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Clostridium spp., Salmonella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Peptostreptococcus spp. , Peptococcus spp.
